Circa 1915, this ring is unlike any piece we have seen before. The ring features an exceptional quality shield cut diamond with a large open table - underneath the shield cut diamond is a free floating old European cut that can be seen through the shield cut diamond! A ring of this caliber took a master jeweler to create and one can only image the amount to time to fully execute this piece.
There is a small cage under the gallery of the ring that holds an intentionally loose - yet secure - diamond. The diamond moves freely and gives a different appearance to the shield cut diamond each time it is worn. The diamonds in the ring are of supreme quality, all of which are F/G color and VS+ clarity with a total weight of. The natural rubies are a deep red color, as with the diamonds, they are of the highest quality. The ring was hallmarked at one time and only faint outlines of the hallmarks remain, though it does test positive for a minimum of 900/1000 platinum. The ring is a size 8 and we do not recommend having this piece sized. It is in overall excellent condition with no notable signs of wear, damage, or repairs. Other than normal use from over 100 years of life, this ring is in ready to wear! Note, it is very difficult to explain the uniqueness of this ring so please refer to our video that will hopefully showcase the movement of the diamond!
